Our mission

Help people find the people who can help them.

A single introduction can change a life — a candidate’s next role, a move to a new city, the leader who finally solves an employer’s hardest problem. Indole exists to make those connections happen, faster and more often. We call it Human Pathfinding.

The name

The molecule at the heart of jasmine.

Indole is the aromatic compound that gives jasmine its scent — a benzene ring fused to a pyrrole ring, with a single nitrogen at the join.

Our mark is that molecule, drawn in indigo. We color exactly one atom terracotta: the nitrogen where the two rings meet — the part that makes the whole thing smell like anything at all.

It’s the same shape twice — the structure of a scent, and the structure of a company.

What we believe

One mission. A clear place to start.

The pathfinding idea is broad, but our focus is narrow on purpose — we earn the right to the wider mission one market at a time.

The mission

Help people find the people who can help them. The right connection is rarely the obvious one and almost never the easy one to reach — so we build the technology that finds it, and the warmest way in.

How we work

Calm, precise, human. We sell judgment, not noise — technology that makes the people who do this work sharper and faster, never a black box that asks you to trust it blindly.

Where we start

Retained executive search. It is the purest version of the problem — a single hire that can change a company’s trajectory and a leader’s life — and the place Indole earns its keep first. The mission goes further; the work starts here.
