Terms of service

1. This agreement

This is an agreement between you — or the organization you represent — and Indole. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Definitions

The platform

Indole’s shared intelligence technology — the entity graph, relationship edges, live signals, and pathfinder.

The products

The applications built on the platform, including Indole Search.

Results

The shortlists, profiles, paths, and other outputs the products generate in response to your queries.

3. Access and eligibility

Indole rolls out by request. We may grant, limit, or withdraw access at our discretion, and we may require that you be a professional acting in a business capacity. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Indole only for legitimate professional purposes, and not to:

• Use results to harass, discriminate against, or harm any individual.
• Contact people in violation of applicable anti-spam, marketing, or privacy laws.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute the graph or results except as the product permits.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
• Misrepresent the source or accuracy of results to third parties.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of results — including how you contact the people you find — complies with the laws that apply to you.

5. Your data and results

You retain ownership of the queries, mandates, and other content you submit. You grant us the rights needed to operate the service — to process your content, generate results, and improve our products. Results are provided for your internal professional use; treat the information they contain responsibly and in line with our privacy policy.

6. Intellectual property

The platform, the products, and all associated software, design, and brand materials are owned by Indole and protected by intellectual-property law. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the products while your access is active — and nothing more.

7. Service availability

We work to keep Indole reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access. Where practical, we will give notice of material changes.

8. Disclaimers

Indole helps you find and reason about people, but results are informational and not a guarantee. We draw on third-party and public sources and do our best to keep records accurate, but we do not warrant that any result is complete, current, or error-free. Decisions you make — including hiring and outreach decisions — remain yours. The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Indole will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using Indole at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue after termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our products and the law evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users directly. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
